AMORPHIS is putting the finishing touches on its new album for a late spring release. The CD was recorded primarily at Sonic Pump Studios, while the vocals are being laid down at Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH, TAROT) home studio in Kuopio. The album will tell the story of the most important character of Finnish mythology and folklore. He is the Finnish god Väinämöinen, who was described as "an extremely powerful, wise old man who had a magical voice." Some believe that Väinämöinen was the creator of the world, an ancient hero and a very influential shaman. The CD artwork is once again being created by Travis Smith.
